Djerba Blitz Open

To annouce the Djerba Chess Festival, which will take place in February, we organize an online chess tournament on Sunday Decembre 3rd, 2023 at 6 p.m. CET and we invite all chess players to join.

Blitz is an 11-round Swiss. The time-control is 3 minutes + 2 seconds per move

Europe Echecs free account, Zoom software installed, play on a computer (no smartphones or tablets)

Useful information

Players must play on a computer (PC or MAC) - no tablet or smartphone.

We strongly recommend that you be logged in the platform 20 minutes before the start of the tournament to avoid any last-minute issues.

A group of arbiters, led by IA Laurent Freyd, will supervise games. All players may be invited to connect to an online conferencing software (Zoom), in order to be visible to the arbiters and proceed to any requested controls.

Do not pay attention to your elo rating change before the tournament. The rating confirmed at registration will be the official one for the tournament.

Any titled player registered in a tournament who is not showing up on the day of the tournament without prior notice will automatically be refused in future tournaments.

Players of any levels take part in our tournaments, from beginners to Grand Masters. Based on your own level, the strength of your opponents will adapt in each round. This is an opportunity for you to meet with players of all levels … and certainly to beat some of them!
